China's energy storage network: a person familiar with the matter told bloomberg that the country's only energy tender for December will be awarded at least 6.4 gigawatts of capacity, up to 9 gigawatts.
It is reported that the second round of bidding will be larger, awarding 5 gigawatts to 7gw of project contracts.
A-4 and a-6 tenders will be awarded to contracts starting at the beginning of 2021 and beginning at the beginning of 2023.The two bids will negotiate electricity contracts from hydropower, wind and biomass. The Brazilian department of energy said in August that the a-4 would also be awarded A contract for solar energy projects, with the a-6 awarding coal and gas contracts.
In 2016, the Brazilian government scrapped a renewable energy auction, saying it did not need to ensure new capacity.Although energy demand has fallen as a result of the recession, the economy is now signaling a recovery.
At the end of August, the department of energy canceled 57.4 megawatts of wind and solar projects. The idea behind this is to eliminate some of the excess planned capacity.
