Brazil Should Promptly Study And Introduce Policies To Encourage The Photovoltaic Industry

- Jul 03, 2018-

Brazil's drought has increased the risk of power shortages by 75 percent in Brazil, the big state newspaper reported.

Brazil's national electricity authority said recently that the government is working hard to ease the shortage of electricity, and that it is planning to release the policy by July.

It is understood that in addition to the study of solar power equipment providing preferential lending policies, Brazil's national power authority and the national fiscal and taxation policy to power supply departments from commodity circulation tax service (next-generation ICMS) policy are discussed.

If the tax exemption is approved, Brazil could have 795, 000 photovoltaic units by 2024, with an installed capacity of 2,435 gigawatts.
