According to the reports of foreign media, the British startup Echion Technologies, which was spun off from Cambridge University, recently claimed that its battery technology has made a major breakthrough, and electric vehicles can be fully charged in just six minutes. Echion Technologies was founded by Dr. Jean de La Verpilliere at the University of Cambridge for a Ph.D. in Nanoscience. He said he has created a new powder to replace the graphite in lithium-ion batteries and has improved the battery's ability to charge in an impressive way.

Startups rarely convinced battery manufacturers to use their chemicals on expensive production lines, but Echion Technologies claims that its new materials can be easily integrated into existing production.
