Recently, the Chinese manufacturer homag Hoymiles announced that it has provided micro inverters to solar projects in South Africa. The 158kW roof system of the project, located in a commercial building in Johannesburg, USES the company's mi-600 inverter, with modular maximum power point tracking and monitoring.

Hoymiles local distributors Ellies photovoltaic solar head said, "I am very happy to be able to project and Hoymiles in Johannesburg on cooperation, this is by far the largest project of its kind in South Africa. In the future, we will continue to work closely with Hoymiles to develop ways to help users safely build and operate high-yielding photovoltaic power stations. What we and Hoymiles have achieved in the South African market is a good start.Ellies also helped design the system.

Hoymiles says the project can now be extended to 200kW.according to the manufacturer of the micro inverter in South Africa was a great driver, because the focus is on any specific installation power costs level, rather than purchasing process dominated by the capital expenditure. The project is similar to Hoymiles's 3.6mw installation in China, which is said to be the country's largest photovoltaic project.
