SF Motors' Battery Department Launch New Solid Battery, Its Energy Density May Break Records Or Replace Lithium Batteries

- Aug 31, 2019-

According to the report of foreign media, TeraWatt Technology, a department of SF Motors which is a new energy company , announced to launch new design prototype of 4.5AH solid battery, the energy density of the battery will reach to 432Wh/kg(1122Wh/L).At present, third parties including JAPAN TOYO System are testing the prototype of the battery.

Next generation of solid battery named TERA3.0,will be launched to part of early adopters in 2021,and will come to the market in 2022.At the same time, TeraWatt Technology will iterate the TERA 3.0 design line and further develop other battery designs, including different battery designs, sizes and energy capacities.

Founded in 2017, TeraWatt Technology is a department of SF Motors, based in Santa Clara, California. Dr. Tang Yifan, SERE’S chief technology officer, officially announced the prototype of the 4.5AH solid state battery at the FISITA PLUS 2019 conference in London,England.

Ken Ogata, senior manager of battery technology ,indicated that lithium ion batteries have dominated in consumer electronics and for the past 30 years, however TERA3.0 will surpass the traditional lithium ion battery solutions. With this solid battery ,consumer can get longer life, safer and more reliable equipment. In addition, in order to mass product Tera3.0 solid batteries using the existing lithium ion battery equipment, the solid batteries has been designed speacially.

Therefore, the solid batteries can be widely used without burdening consumers and manufacters.
