The UK has become another major market for BYD's energy storage business after the United States. Recently, BYD (002594) stored energy was awarded the UK 18 MW container storage project. This is another order after BYD won 43 MW and 50 MW in the UK market this year. The first two orders are 43MW and 50MW energy storage projects respectively.
This energy storage project will adopt BYD's 1.26 MW / 1.26 MWh and 0.63 MW / 0.63 MWh standard container system. The energy storage system is mainly composed of battery pack, inverter, power distribution equipment and monitoring system. Part of the composition, while the internal air conditioning, lighting, ventilation, fire protection and other auxiliary systems. It has high modularity, simple structure, easy installation and maintenance, and later expansion. It can be applied to various application scenarios such as wind and light storage.
China's energy storage industry started in the early 21st century. The first 10 years of the 21st century is the technology research and development stage, mainly for technical units to carry out basic research and technical verification demonstration. The judges agreed that the system made breakthroughs in terms of modularity, charge and discharge performance and efficiency, and decided to award the global award to BYD, saying that BYD battery energy storage system is “top innovation”.
The UK is another emerging energy storage market that has risen rapidly after the United States, Germany and Japan.
