Fuel Cell Shipments Forecast For 2019: Shipments Will Exceed 17MW

- Aug 02, 2019-

Hydrogen cars are powered mainly by hydrogen. Conventional internal combustion engines, usually injected with diesel or gasoline, use gas hydrogen instead. There are two types of hydrogen vehicles, hydrogen internal combustion engine vehicles and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. At present, the rapid development of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Compared with traditional vehicles, hydrogen fuel vehicles can add gas more quickly and have a longer driving time, which has broad prospects for future development.

At present, China's new energy vehicle market is developing rapidly, mainly with pure electric models and plug-in hybrid models. Meanwhile, hydrogen cars are catching up. The China society of automotive engineering has previously predicted that the output value of China's hydrogen automobile industry is expected to exceed one trillion yuan by 2030.

From the domestic market layout, the layout of passenger cars and special vehicles in the field of the majority of enterprises. More than 200 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles have been used for demonstration in China, with a total mileage of over 100,000 kilometers.Currently, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in China are still in the research and development and trial stage. It is estimated that the industrialization and rapid promotion of vehicles will reach 2020-2025. Taking passenger vehicles as an example, 5,000 to 10,000 fuel cell vehicles are expected to be put into operation by 2020. Market penetration is expected to be achieved between 2025 and 2030, with large-scale applications expected by 2050.

At present, hydrogen energy vehicles are in the stage of application demonstration. Although some auto companies have started mass production, the production volume is relatively small. With the development of hydrogen energy vehicles entering a mature stage, production will enter a period of explosive growth, and the market demand for hydrogen fuel cells will open up greatly.

According to statistics, fuel cell shipments in China reached 10.5MW in 2015, up 14.1% year on year, and exceeded 10MW for the first time. In the future, the fuel cell market will continue to grow, with shipments expected to exceed 17MW by 2019.

At present, several cities have carried out demonstration applications of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, mainly in the field of public transportation, and the application of hydrogen energy is accelerating. Before this, the country has issued relevant policies to promote industrial development, and will increase support in the future. With the further opening of the hydrogen fuel car market, more car companies will actively layout among them. At present, the promotion and application of hydrogen fuel cell vehicle in China are in the initial stage, and the prospect is very broad.
