Germany's Renewable Electricity Surcharge Is Expected To Fall In 2018

China's grid operator said the surcharge on German consumers would fall by 1.3 per cent next year to support renewable power.

Funds are used to support green electricity that exceeds expected spending.

A surcharge of Germany's four big grid operators in a joint statement, according to the renewable energy law of surcharge will from this year's 6.88 euro cents/KWH fell to 6.792 in 2018 euro cents/KWH.

The surcharge for widespread attention is only a fifth of the consumer's final bill.

The surcharge represents the biggest and most symbolic spending hurdle for Germany's transition to renewable energy.

Additional information indicated that the surcharge should be maintained at 6.8 euro/KWH.
