- Oct 22, 2019-

The sales revenue of lithium-ion batteries for energy storage was 5.2 billion yuan, up 20% year-on-year to 6.5 billion yuan, and the output increased from 3.9 billion watt-hours to 5.2 billion watt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 35%.

Liu Yanlong, secretary general of the China Chemical and Physical Power Industry Association, shared the development status and trends of China's power lithium-ion battery industry in his recent speech.

According to the statistical analysis of the China Chemical and Physical Power Industry Association, the sales revenue of lithium-ion batteries in China reached 172.7 billion yuan in 2018, an increase of 8.7% over the same period of 2017, 158.9 billion yuan. The output of lithium-ion batteries increased from 100.9 billion watt-hours to 124.2 billion watt-hours, an increase of 23.1% year-on-year. Mainly due to the rapid growth of the new energy vehicle power battery and energy storage battery market.

Among them, the sales revenue of lithium-ion batteries for consumer electronic products increased from 75.7 billion yuan to 77.2 billion yuan, an increase of about 2% year-on-year. The output was 52.4 billion watt-hours, up 3% year-on-year to 54 billion watt-hours. The main markets for consumer electronics batteries are mobile phones, notebook computers, mobile power supplies, power tools and wearable devices. Demand for mobile phones, notebook computers, tablets and mobile power markets has decreased, but electric bicycles, power tools, The demand for lithium-ion batteries in wearable devices is growing relatively fast. The sales revenue of power lithium-ion batteries for new energy vehicles was 78 billion yuan, up 14.1% year-on-year to reach 89 billion yuan; the output was 44.6 billion watt-hours, up 45.7% year-on-year to 65 billion watt-hours. The sales revenue of energy storage lithium-ion batteries was 5.2 billion yuan, up 20% year-on-year to 6.5 billion yuan, and the output increased from 3.9 billion watt-hours to 5.2 billion watt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 35%.

In 2017, the export volume of lithium-ion batteries was about 1.711 billion. In 2016, the export volume was about 1.517 billion, which was 12.79% higher than the previous year. In 2017, the export volume of lithium-ion batteries was about 8.084 billion US dollars, and the export value in 2016 was about 6.841 billion US dollars, an increase of 17.64%.
