India First Bids For Offshore Wind Projects

For wind power industry, the government of India in this fiscal year will foreign bidding 9 gigawatts of installed capacity, the next two fiscal year, which ended at the end of March 2020, the Indian government will foreign bidding 20 gw of wind power installed capacity, which, in 2018, India will be the first foreign offshore wind project subject to tender.

The Indian government has been bidding for 2 gigawatts of wind capacity through two rounds of tenders.The third round of bidding was scrapped last week because of the government's new rules on wind power.So far, India's installed wind capacity has reached 32 gigawatts.
