Innergex Acquired The 250MW Texas Solar Project

Canadian company Innergex Renewable Energy has acquired the rights to develop its 250-megawatt phoebee-solar project in winkler county, Texas, from Longroad Energy Partners.Phoebe's project, which is expected to begin commercial operation in the third quarter of 2019, is the largest solar project Innergex has ever undertaken.CIT group's energy finance arm will raise $292 million for Phoebe and $105 million for Innergex.

First Solar will provide a Series 6 photovoltaic module for Phoebe Solar field, and Power Electronics will provide a HEM 3000 photovoltaic inverter.Phoebe is a 250MW ac / 315-mw dc with an average annual capacity of 738,000 megawatts, enough to power about 53,000 Texas homes.Phoebe's electricity will be sold to the Texas electric reliability board (ERCOT) and a 12-year power purchase agreement with shell energy North America will be signed in July 2019.
