Japan Plans To Launch A Driverless Car Service In Tokyo By 2020

According to automotive news Europe version 4 days to report, a new Japanese government strategic assessment report showed that during the Olympic Games in 2020, Tokyo will automatically provide driving services, this is Japan's by strengthening investment in new technology to promote economic growth.


The strategy also includes plans to develop virtual power plants in March 2022.The proposals are part of a package of fiscal and economic policies Japan plans to enact by the end of the month.

According to the report, the Japanese government is scheduled to start this year in testing self-driving cars on public roads system, goal is to launch a service automatically drive a car at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, and in 2022 to commercialise the system.

Economists say autonomous vehicles and artificial intelligence technology have great potential to help businesses cope with an aging population and a declining labor force.In addition, Japanese companies have been struggling to keep up with China, Europe and the us in applying such innovations to work practices.
