The Spanish engineering services provider TSK and the ABU dhabi-based EPC contractor, Enviromena Power Systems, announced the completion of Jordan's largest photovoltaic electric field, the 103MW Quweira project. The $130 million project was approved by the Jordanian government in January 2016.

The EPC contract for the project was signed in November 2014 and is funded by the Jordan energy and minerals resources (MEMR) and funded by the ABU dhabi development fund (ADFD).It is a separate tender, which has nothing to do with the remaining projects of the first or second national large-scale solar farm bidding project in Jordan. The 328,320 photovoltaic modules of the electric field will be supplied by China jinko energy.

According to the latest statistics, by the end of 2017, Jordan's renewable energy capacity will be 732MW, with a large amount of photovoltaic installations.
