Sempra Energy Will Sell 2.6GW Of Us Renewable Energy Assets

Sempra energy recently announced plans to sell a number of renewable energy infrastructure assets, including its entire 2.6GW solar and wind portfolio in the us, after sorting out its business and portfolio.

At present, the Sempra renewable energy company in Nevada, Arizona and California have nine photovoltaic (pv) ownership of the project, and the investment from Hawaii to eight states of Pennsylvania wind projects.

Sempra energy chief executive said, "our strategy is to continue to build a leading energy company, operating in some of the biggest economies in America first-class utilities and energy infrastructure development and contracting, focus on North America."

He also said, "our team and the board of directors and our external financial and legal advisors in the past year has been to our portfolio to conduct a comprehensive strategic assessment, and promote the shareholder value is consistent with strategy.This is only the first stage of our portfolio optimization and we expect this to continue in the coming months.
