The Canadian government considers these measures "unfair and illegal".It noted that an international trade commission (ITC) investigation found that Canadian products did not significantly harm U.S. manufacturers, and that the U.S. ITC did not recommend tariffs on Canadian imports. But Canada is also on the list of countries facing a 30 percent solar tariff.
Canada says the tariffs violate NAFTA rules.
" Canada's innovative solar industry supports businesses and workers in the clean tech sector, which is critical to our economic prosperity."The Canadian government said.
