Ukraine's Electricity Exports Fell By 1% In The First Half

Ukraine's electricity exports fell 0.9 percent in the first half of this year, Ukraine's ministry of energy and coal industry confirmed on Aug. 6, the state news agency said.

In the first six months of this year, electricity exports totaled 31.351 billion kilowatt hours, a decrease of 2,860 kilowatt hours, or 0.9 percent, year-on-year.In addition, Ukrainian power plants, including Ukraine's joint energy system, produced 79873.4 billion kilowatt hours of electricity in the first half, up 15.274 billion kilowatt hours, or 1.9 percent, year-on-year.

Electricity production hit 11.6702 billion kilowatt hours in June, up 2.63 billion kilowatt hours, or 2.3 percent, from a year earlier.In the second quarter of this year, Ukrainian households doubled their solar panels.
